Moosehead Lodge is located midway between San Francisco and Portland on the Wild Rivers coast of Oregon. We are easy to find on a map because we are just one mile north of the California - Oregon border, one block west of Hwy 101. Brookings Harbor is five miles north of us and the town of Brookings is six miles to the north.

 

Directions

 

To Reach Us By Land

• From San Francisco: We are a good day's drive north of the City. You can take Hwy 101 north through the scenic coast and redwoods. We are 17 miles north of Crescent City on US Highway 101. Or you can take Interstate 5 north to Medford and Grants Pass.
  
  
• From Portland: We are a good day's drive south of Portland. You can take Hwy 101 south along the scenic Oregon coast. We are 30 miles South of Gold Beach on US Highway 101. Or you can drive Interstate 5 south to Grants Pass.
  
  
• From Grants Pass: We are 100 miles west of Grants Pass. Take US 199 from Grants Pass to the SR 197 along the Smith River to Hwy 101. Then drive north and we are one mile north of the California - Oregon border. If you have the time, you can also drive a scenic mountain road along the Rogue River to Gold Beach (open only in summer) and then drive south along the 101.

 

To Reach Us By Air

The Crescent City, California Airport is serviced by Sky West with usually two flights a day and connections from San Francisco and other West Coast cities. Private pilots can use the Brookings, Oregon Airport which offers a 2900' paved runway.

 

To Reach Us By Sea

Brookings Harbor and Port is located at the mouth of the Chetco River and offers moorings.
