Need a place where you and your large dogs can stay and enjoy the Southern Oregon Coast? Looking for a family and pet friendly place where the whole family can stay in one place? Tired of boarding your pets or asking neighbors to look in on your animals while you are on vacation or traveling?
If so, consider staying with us at the Moosehead Lodge, where we welcome the whole family ... small and large dogs and cats included.
Our vacation rental home is located in a small, private, quiet residential community located about one mile north of the California Oregon border. Our large, fenced backyard offers plenty of space for the whole family, including your pets, to play in.
We are a great place to stay for extended family vacations and gatherings, since we can sleep up to 12 people in the Lodge and 5 more in our Annex next door. The Annex can accommodate small dogs and cats.

Go for A Walk on the BeachControlled dogs are allowed on Oregon beaches. You can use our local path to access the Winchuck Estuary and walk on miles of scenic and uncrowded beach. Or you can walk your dog on a 6 ' leash on the beaches at McVay Rock State Park, Harris Beach, and Boardman Scenic Corridor. In California, leashed and controlled dogs are allowed on the undeveloped Pelican State Beach.

Go Trail & Mountain HikingYou can take your dogs for a hike along the trails accessed off the Winchuck River Road or in the Siskiyou National Forest (11 miles).

Play Fetch with the DriftwoodIn Oregon, you are permitted to collect driftwood by hand for personal use from our beaches. So why not use it to play fetch while exploring the Winchuck Beach and Estuary? See our local beach access maps for more info about accessing the Crissey Field State Park or and nearby Pelican Bay California State Park (1.4 miles). |
After a day walking on Winchuck Beach, hiking in the local mountains, or biking around Brookings Harbor -- come and relax, play catch in the backyard and enjoy an evening picnic under the stars.
