Annual Azalea FestivalIn May Brookings hosts the annual Azalea Festival which is a weekend long event and kicks off the summer season.

Old Fashioned 4th of JulyBrookings still celebrates the 4th of July with a traditional fireworks display over the harbor. Find a spot at the beach, along the Chetco, or on one of the hillsides. It is sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 757.

Southern Oregon Kite Flying FestivalBrookings proudly hosts the annual Southern Oregon Kite Festival during summer. Sometimes there is wind and often it can be rather calm this time of year, but these designs and constructions will always fly. |
Local Attractions In and Around Brookings, Oregon
Brandy Peak DistilleryTake a tour of this family-owned "micro-distillery" that produces premium, award-winning brandies and Blackberry Liqueur. After a tour you can sample them in their tasting room. They are located 8 miles north of us just outside of Brookings.

Brookings HarborThe Port of Brookings Harbor is the site of many events in Brookings. Check out the web cam. Here a tall ship visits the California and Oregon coast and sails into port.
