Oregon Redwoods Trail - #1107
The Oregon Redwoods Trail is open year round and offers light hiking through a redwood grove. It runs along the Peavine Ridge near the Winchuck River Valley (directions). It makes a loop and sometimes has fallen tree branches or decaying redwood stumps that you need to step over. It can be combined with the Oregon Redwoods Barrier Free Trail to make a 1.6 mile hike.
Chimney Camp Trail #1279
An easy 2.3 mile hike (one way), Chimney Camp Trail is accessed right across from the Ludlum House in the Winchuck Campground. It follows Wheeler Creek and offers picnicing spots along the river, as well as deep shade. Starting off as an old service road, you reach an old cabin site where only a chimney remains and soon after take a smaller trail where you ford two small streams (in the summer).
Sourdough Trail #1114
The Sourdough Trail is 3.8 miles long (one way) and is a more difficult hike. You can access it from the Winchuck River Valley by taking Forest Road 1107 and then the spur 1107-220 to get to the trail head.
